The Forty Thieves started in Jacob Clarke's living room at 2am one night after a party. Since then, the group started writing songs in university practice rooms and eventually put together recordings in Matt's little West End flat. The result was a tuneful mess of world-inspired folk, a mix of unconventional instruments (like the guitarrón, autoharp, and mandolin). They have big plans.
